Richer in geothermal activity than any other country, Iceland is a veritable hot spring hotspot. Around 800 hot springs, some with dramatically spouting geysers, pepper the landscape. The most famed is the stunning, steaming, turquoise Blue Lagoon in Grindavik, just beside capital Reykjavik.
